ORIGINS: Central America and Brazil
BOTANICAL NAME:  Peltogyne spp.
COMMON NAME: Violetwood, Pala morado
COLOR DETAILS: Bright purple, turning dark brown with exposure to light
WEIGHT: approx. 5.5 lbs per B.F.
WORKABILITY: Machines and finishes well. Can be hard to sand due to oils in wood. Slower knife speeds recommended to avoid burning wood.
